Here's an illustration I did of a guy wind surfing. In this illustration I used many of Illustrator's tools: graphics styles, brushes, symbol sprayer, blends, inner glow, gradients, transparencies, clipping paths, and the distort filter. Not to mention the good ol' pen tool, and probably a lot of other things.
